For plastic surgeons

Take surgery deposits from patients abroad without the wire-transfer back and forth

A patient in Houston or Manchester is about to send a large sum to a clinic in another country. They want payment details that look like a normal domestic transfer. You want the full amount, in your currency, matched to the right patient. MedFX handles both sides.

Payments that match how your clinic works

MedFX handles the payment. We do not review or advise on treatment, and we never need a patient's medical information.

  • Rhinoplasty
  • Breast augmentation and lift
  • Facelift and eyelid surgery
  • Abdominoplasty
  • Liposuction and body contouring
  • Reconstructive surgery

Where the friction is

What gets in the way of a foreign patient's payment

  • 01

    Large payments make patients hesitate

A deposit of several thousand dollars sent to an unfamiliar foreign account is a hard thing to ask for. A named, local-currency bank account in the patient's own country is a much easier one.

  • 02

    Wires arrive short

Banks in the middle can take a fee out of an international wire. The amount that lands is then lower than the amount that was sent, and your coordinator is chasing the gap.

  • 03

    Staff match payments by hand

Screenshots on WhatsApp, partial transfers, two patients with the same surname. Reconciliation falls to whoever is closest to the phone.

A typical booking

From quote to payout

  1. 1

    Quote and reserve

Your coordinator confirms the surgery date and the deposit. We issue payment details for the patient's country and currency.

  2. 2

    Deposit

The patient sends the deposit from their bank. You see it against their reference and can confirm the date with them.

  3. 3

    Balance

The balance can be paid in a second transfer before travel or on arrival. Each transfer is tied to the same patient.

  4. 4

    Payout

Funds land in your bank account in reais, pesos, lira or the local currency you choose.
