A busy clinic may take payments from patients in the US, the UK, Germany and the Gulf in one week. Each expects to pay in their own currency, from their own bank.

In many clinics the same people who answer patient questions also chase transfers. Every manual match is time not spent on bookings.

Cash on the day is a risk for both sides
Asking a patient to carry cash, or to pay entirely on arrival, makes the booking less certain. A deposit received in advance fixes the date.
